How a Turn Unfolds

On your turn, select a piece and then choose an empty adjacent diagonal square. If a capture is possible, the game requires you to take it, which means you cannot ignore an available jump to set up a safer position. This single rule shapes most of the strategy: you must watch for forced sequences that pull your pieces out of formation.
